Loose drain cover

Drain in the road is loose. Every time vehicles go over it, it clangs. As vehicle is often parked on opposite side of road, most vehicles going up or down the road catch the drain cover. By the entrance to Mitchin Court.

  • Drain cover still not fixed. Because of my medical problems, I was living & sleeping downstairs. With this drain cover problem I am no longer able to sleep downstairs,as the constant banging from vehicles transversing over it, causing a very old clatter, we’re keeping me awake. I now have to struggle to climb the stairs, because of medical problems. This is causing me consternation. It is also a danger to my health & wellbeing. If there was a serious incident in the property, I could be in danger of very serious injury. As you can see, this incident should not be taken lightly. I await your response, before I inform the relevant medical departments about my situation.

  • We received an update stating that the drain issue was fixed however it has not been and the drain cover clanging when cars go over it has only gotten louder over the past week. This noise is unbearable as cars go over it constantly throughout the day and even night causing my whole household to have sleepless nights. Please can someone come out to fix it properly and even test it before they send an email stating that it has been fixed when it clearly hasn’t.

  • This problem was first reported on 30th May and has still not been fixed. Has it been looked at and is awaiting repair? A progress report would be appreciated. It has become very distressing.
