Hedges and branches overhanging footpath
Reported via mobile in the Hedges category anonymously at 20:02, Mon 26 May 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Hedging and branches from the garden of this property, which backs onto Chalvey Road, are overhanging and obstructing the footpath. This is forcing pedestrians to leave the footpath and walk in the road. As the plants are growing the problem is worsening rapidly.

I want to report an issue on my street. The bushes around the back garden of 6 Bourne Close (Chalvey Road) need desperate attention. They are currently restricting the view of motorists around the area. As you are aware, there are children playing out from time to time, and I would hate to see anything happen that could potentially cause an accident. Secondly, it is becoming a rubbish dump that could attract unwanted rodents. If you could address this issue, I would be grateful.

Thank you for your report. We have concluded our assessment and closed this report. A notice will be sent for the land owner of Kennet road to attend to the vegetation on Chalvey road. And the vegetation on Finchley lane (rear of Bourne close) has been logged with our HART (village maintenance gang) to be attended to as soon as possible. Kind regards
