Follow-Up on Unresolved Repair Curb Council ref: ENQ251046552

Reported via desktop anonymously at 11:59, Friday 23 May 2025

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I am writing to express my serious concern regarding a matter that was marked as “resolved”, despite no actual repair having taken place. I received an email on 19th May confirming that the work had been completed, but this is unfortunately not the case.

The issue remains entirely unresolved, and in the absence of any visible action, I have had to put up a temporary sign for the neighbours as a precaution. While this is a necessary safety measure, it is by no means a substitute for the proper repair that was confirmed.

I must urge you to look into this matter as a priority and advise when the repair will genuinely be carried out. It is vital that this situation is addressed with the seriousness and urgency it requires.

This is my previous report:

"Hi,

I am writing to raise an urgent complaint regarding the severely damaged curb in the parking area at 50-52 Danes Road. The curb is in a state of disrepair, with large sections having broken off. As a result, multiple vehicles, including mine, have sustained damage. In my case, the front bumper was affected due to debris from the crumbling curb.

This situation is not only unacceptable but also dangerous. The loose fragments pose a significant hazard to all vehicles and pedestrians in the area. Immediate action is required to repair the curb and prevent further damage or potential injury.

I kindly urge you to treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and take swift measures to address and resolve the issue. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and inform me of the steps being taken. "

Sincerely,

Liviu
