Trees, sharp branches, and hedges protruding onto single track road

Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 18:04, Wednesday 21 May 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Trees, sharp branches, and hedges protruding onto single track road.

Sharp branches from hedges and trees are completely leaning onto one of the main access single track roads in Caulcott. We are continuously having to pick up and clear large branches each day due to people having no choice but to drive into them.

We live opposite and our grass and large cotswold boulders keep getting crushed.

This is becoming dangerous for ramblers, dog walkers, cyclists and in particular children when vehicles are speeding past more than 20mph.

Please can this issue be sorted and all the branches/trees/hedges cut right back before anyone gets hurt, or any car or human fall down into the brook and hurt themselves or damage their vehicle.

Thank you.

  • An accident happened with a child falling into the brook due to a large lorry avoiding the branches, forcing the child to move away and hence fell into the brook.
