Obstructed view at intersection

Reported via mobile in the Hedges category anonymously at 15:55, Saturday 17 May 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Trying to see traffic coming from the east is very difficult due to tree/hedge/greenery. One must creep out very nearly into the road in order to check traffic. Dangerous.

Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Oxfordshire County Council at 15:55, Saturday 17 May 2025

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
