Traffic accident at Tadpole Bridge
Reported via mobile in the Road Markings category anonymously at 16:27, Fri 9 May 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Today another speeding car trying to ‘beat the traffic lights’ at Tadpole Bridge has driven into the back of a stationary vehicle. I have contacted your department before suggesting a much reduced speed limit at the bridge which many pedestrians also use to access the Thames path from the Trout Pub. I respectfully request that before someone is badly hurt that a local reduced speed limit and danger signs advising drivers who cannot see the other side of this steep bridge to take great care approaching the bridge for they have no idea what is happening out of view on the opposing approach ramp. Thank you for your kind attention.

peeding is becoming an increasing concern in many places within Oxfordshire and we work closely with Thames Valley Police (TVP) to try and address this and other traffic safety issues.Speeding concerns should be reported direct to the Police. I am happy to report the Counties “injury accident database” shows no incidents in this vicinity. We will continue to monitor and should further action be necessary, then this will be investigated.
