The roots of the tree are affecting the pavement to the left of the Grove Village Hall

Reported via desktop in the Tree roots raising a footpath category by Lesley Baker at 19:26, Thursday 8 May 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Dear Sir/Madam I have reported this before, the tree does not show on you map. It is on the opposite side of the road to the one featured on the map. If this does not meet your criteria for immediate intervention, will you please tell me who to contact. The pavement is so badly damaged by tree roots that I had to reversible my mobility scooters, go off the pavement into the road and travel in the road until I could remount the pavement after the obstacle had been passed. I observed an elderly lady trying with great difficulty to push her husband wheelchair over the roots. Who is liable if one of us has an accident caused by the root damaged pavement?

The damaged pavement is next to the Grove Village Hall in Main Street.

Your faithfully Lesley
