Overgrown hedge making walking with children along pavement dangerous
Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 16:29, Wed 30 April 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The problem is on the Reading Road (Winterbrook) between Wallingford Road and the A4130 roundabout - especially alongside Barchester Waterside Court Care Home and the property next to it. The hedge beside the pavement is so overgrown that it is impossible to walk along it with a child’s pushchair or pram. This means that we have to walk on the road itself - which is obviously very dangerous.
This problem happened last year too. Please can there be a scheduled set of jobs on an annual basis to ensure this pavement remains safe for pedestrians, especially those with small children.
Thank you.
