Investigating
Seriously damaged road which is down to soil in this part
Reported via mobile in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 14:33, Sat 26 April 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Because this road is left untarmaced and not surfaced when it rains or there is excess water from leaks - it fills the 3 surrounding grids with soil. The grids have become compacted with soil and block frequently and easily - almost causing flooding in my home. The road should be surfaced(it’s not a private road) and the grids need to be thoroughly excavated in order that they work effectively after road surfacing. I implore you to deal with this in the coming summer months so that I do not live in fear of flooding and water deluges from a busy road when the autumn/winter come. I consider this to be a matter of URGENCY in order that flooding be avoided. Please contact me when decide to send out your engineer to investigate - 07811248200 Many thanks in anticipation of your help.

Further to the gulleys being “cleared” a couple of weeks ago - see above for a continuation of the flooding further to fairy light rainfall.
Please can we have the grids inspected - it is my belief that due to the amount of silt which runs into the gulleys (as a result of an untarmacked road - entrance to The Hamlet) the gulleys are compacted and flooding continues. Your failure to resolve this issue at well result in the flooding of my property! My solicitor has asked me to advise you that all documentation related to the long struggle to get OCC to “fix” this problem, without satisfactory resolution is on file. PLEASE repair this issue as soon as possible With thanks
