Footway repairs incomplete?

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category by Brian Short at 12:07, Fri 25 April 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Following footway repairs the pedestrian ‘blister paving’ has not been replaced at the Co-Op car park entrance. Is the work incomplete? Previously the blisters complied with DDA requirements and should be replaced. Also, the wooden bollards are not compatible with the village setting.

  • Hi Brian, my name is Steve, I'm a FixMyStreet superuser based in Steventon. I have just got back from speaking with the contractors working on the Co-op entrance. Work is going. Concrete blisting was to be laid both sides of the carpark entrance, the posts were to protect them from heavy vehicles. However, the Co-op have complained about the posts as they are likely to hinder their delivery lorries and they [the posts] will therefore be removed shortly. The concrete blisters were replaced today with rubberised versions. The Co-op-side ones were already affixed and they were about to adhere the other side of the entrance, (the picture with black tape), while I was there
