A number of dead / fallen trees outside our boundary along main road B4030
Reported via mobile in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 10:41, Fri 25 April 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Hi - A number of trees are dead or have fallen along the roadside of our property. We have had the trees inside our boundary removed/cut down but the company refused to touch trees the other side of the boundary fence. During the last storm a tree fell across the main road & we had to go outside and pull the tree out of the way to avoid an accident. We understand the trees fall under your jurisdiction and are asking for them to be removed. Thank you.

Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited site and assessed the trees &
vegetation as described in the enquiry. The vegetation present appears growing
beyond the area that OCC maintains and is therefore deemed to be an adjacent
boundary feature. OCC, as the local highway authority, maintain the HMPE (highway maintainable at public expense) from boundary feature to boundary feature. As such the vegetation present is maintainable by the adjacent property/land owner, and not the county council, to maintain. Should you require a more detail on this matter, please contact our highway records team at:Landandrecords@oxfordshire.gov.uk
