Overgrowing hedging obstructing footway

Reported via desktop anonymously at 17:11, Wednesday 26 March 2025

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Hedging from 24/26 is overhanging the highway boundary (back of footway vertically) and obstructing half the footway approx. for all users of the footway. If a vehicle is parked adjacent in the channel pedestrians will walk around in the carriageway - a highway safety risk.

  • Thank you for your report. Landowners and occupiers are responsible for maintaining any boundary features on their property that adjoin public highways and affect highway safety. In this case, the highway appears to be impacted, so we will contact the land/property owner. If necessary, further action will be taken.
