Multiple potholes stretching from the common all the way down to Southerndown nursing home, approximately quarter of a mile

These pot holes have been here for a minimum of 6 months and are progressively getting worse, to the point when HGV vehicles travel over them is causes our whole house to shake and windows to rattle and we are now experiencing cracks in the plasterwork of our property. There is debris scattered over the footpath from the road material being ripped up on a daily basis by vehicles hitting these potholes.

You have been notified and say you will investigate, come and drive your car through them and you will soon see the effect it is having on peoples car. It is dangerous and should be a Priority it is a hazard trap.

It about time you reservice this stretch of road .As this is the A44 main road into Chipping Norton.It is so Dangerous that lorry and cars are driving down the middle of road. if you can spend £10000. pound on a old salt road in Salford at Golden Lane, which has never been black topped in 40 years .Then you can get on and relay this sort bit of main road. This is a failare of Oxfordshire High ways.and you should be ashamed of you conduct.

There are numerous potholes that have been marked off for repair but there are many more that are just as bad that have been ignored. Come on Oxfordshire Highways, if you’re going to finally do the job do it properly and resurface the whole road not just random areas. Our local county councillor Geoff Saul should be sorting this but he promises but doesn’t deliver.

Whoever has been out from Oxfordshire highways and marked out these potholes needs to get themselves up to Barnard Castle and get their eyes tested as they have missed two thirds of them. This road needs a resurface, not patching here and there, this is not cost effective as the smaller potholes will only get worse and you will be back patching those within six months. In the meantime structural damage is a possibility to the properties along this stretch of the A44 as our entire house shakes when speeding HGV’s hit these potholes and our plaster is beginning to crack in places and I’m sure we are not the only property experiencing this. This will ultimately be a far more expensive fix for Oxfordshire county council than just getting on with the job and resurfacing the road once and for all.
