Large manhole has sunk well below the road surface
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This has apparently been closed by OCC with the following statement;
'Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. While Oxfordshire County Council is not responsible for this problem, you will need to report it to [vodafone]. We will also send a section 81 to them. The report will now be closed on Fix My Street.'
It has taken OCC nearly 3 months to get to this point!! This is a busy road and people are clearly suffering damage because of this very serious road defect. This is bureaucracy at its finest. And now you expect the public to report it to Vodafone and slide out of responsibility by saying that you will be sending Vodafone a notice. How are the public meant to know that this is apparently a Vodafone manhole? Can OCC give me the contact details at Vodafone please? I will happily do your job, but otherwise for heavens sake be proactive, pick up the phone and do what we pay you to do!!
