Overgrown Vegitation

Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 15:58, Thursday 20 March 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Hi - I am making a case on behalf of Shell Layby. Between Shell's demise and National highways road - There is a large unregistered parcel of Land. Please can you advise if the general maintenance would fall into the jurisdiction of the Council to help maintain the vegetation? It is unclear historically how this parcel of land has been managed. Any guidance would be appreciated.

  • Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Oxfordshire County Council is not responsible for this problem as the hedge line is on the A34 side of the boundary line. We maintain the surrounding slip road around the garage but not the verge line adjacent to the A34. This issue needs to be raised with National Highways. Kind regards
