Compacted Mud reducing Carraige Width to Single
Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:46, Mon 17 March 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
A Build up of Mud from Farming & Construction activities has reduced the road to a single carraigeway which has been impacted leaving some 4 inches of concretion with potholes therein and catches approaching Drivers unaware approaching this narrow from the B4009 to the Kingston Stert just beyond the Coffin Path on the West side. Reduced to a single carraigeway this has been there for months and threatens to cause accidents if drivers are losing steering control. Mud is being dragged to and from Town farm by a permanently open Gate - open as far is I have observed for some 50 years. If the If Gate is not needed then it should be removed as a further hazard to Motorists taking any evasive action. Many similar circunstances have been reported in the surrounding Villages resulting in serious accidents in the wet.

This problem has not been fixed. It has been a danger point and an eyesore for 18 months The road needs sweeping, the damaged road repaired and the cones and barriers removed. What a mess on the corner of the street. We are absolutely fed up with it. We need action please

The residents of KB want this fixed quickly. Children walk in numbers to school each day. The narrow road and blind corner is dangerous with car parking making it even worse

No action taken on this report so it has become a premanent feature so much so that on 2nd of july at 6.30 pm some 4 cars were parked n this mud bank further causing a hazard in order to attend a school cconcert at aston rowant. a coffin path away from the school indicating that the school catchment area resuts in a saturation of the villages. It is getting out of hand and reaching high hazard levelsas within and without and now needs serious addressing as to why temporary school buildings can gererate such a problen in these adjacent areas before attention is given to these dangerous circumstances. THis langstanding problem needs immediate atention.
