No warning of more roadworks!

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There are signs placed at Shillingford roundabout giving advanced notice of roadworks taking place 13th & 14th March overnight night, however, we did not get any notice of the roadworks taking place today!!! Traffic is building up unnecessarily. Give drivers advanced notice and they may be able to take an alternative route. As previously, I know that I probably won't get an answer to this for six months and Highways won't have any record of these works but it is now on record!

  • Thank you for your report. The works here and as per requirement of the permit being granted NCT11b AWS (advanced warning Signs) to be erected on site at least two weeks prior to the commencement of works, which were erected upon the roundabout. We had other works due from evening 13th & 14th March upon Henley Road in the evenings and concerns raised that these two works would clash etc but was to be in collaboration and surfacing done out of hours to minimise impact.
