Investigating
Dangerous roundabout
Reported via iOS in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 07:00, Thursday 27 February 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Road markings completely disappeared so not even clear it’s a roundabout. Severe potholes and damage to surface so cars not on right side of road. Massive pavement area obstructing turn circle of buses (they have to give way to the left as cannot turn if car waiting on brick kiln lane- causes chaos) and also often obstructed view by people using the concrete area as parking. Needs complete rebuild!

Now very deep pothole in centre of roundabout. Not only is it severe enough to cause vehicle damage, but either trying to avoid it, or not and experiencing the impact of hitting it makes accidents more likely on a very busy 3 way roundabout where not everyone follows the rules on who has priority. More generally, construction traffic has utterly destroyed the condition of the roads in Sandford-on-Thames. They are thundering through the village in huge numbers and the Science Park Developers should be contributing to road resurfacing costs.
