Blocked gulley by road island Oxford Road

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Jane Slade at 11:30, Wed 26 February 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Every time we have rain the gulley/drain is unable to cope with the amount of water. This morning it is very bad and the overflow is running along the path to Broad Gap and along by the seat. It is very dangerous for pedestrians - particularly older people - to navigate as the verge is also muddy and slippery, likewise for mums and buggies. This problem has been reported several times and it is always reported as ‘no action required’. This is disgraceful. It makes the paths our tax money pays for impassable in the current weather and for some time after before it dries. Please bring this to the top of your ‘to do list’. We have lived with it long enough.
