Pothole returns after one day!

Reported via mobile in the Bridges category anonymously at 22:23, Thu 20 February 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This is persistently reported by myself and others. The tarmac quick fix over the join in the bridge is NOT working. Debris has already started after the latest fix a day after I reported it. The team repairing must be fed up of doing this surely. When it appears large lumps are left in the road causing cars to swerve. There is debris again today. Please can this be looked at properly and an alternative to a blob of tarmac to ‘fix’ the issue. I’m no engineer but something else needs to be considered.

  • Repair on bridge join is failing, again! Tarmac has started to come out with lumps on road Probably need to rethink how to fix this so it lasts longer than a few weeks obviously the bridge is moving to cause the tarmac to repeatedly come out or the stuff is playdoh instead?

  • Yet again the pothole has returned. Maybe next time, you do a proper fix instead of a a patch and it will save money in the long run

  • This pothole is getting deeper day by day. There was a pothole many months ago exactly the same along the metal strip on the bridge of the A4095 Curbridge road. That was repaired and the repair is still good. Why is this pothole only ever shoddily patched? It needs a proper professional job done ! Its dangerous to every road user.

  • Thank you for your report. The defect has been listed for repair; however, we cannot provide a specific date at this time as other structures may be given a higher priority.
