Damaged grass verge outside No. 59 New Street
Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 19:45, Monday 17 February 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Damaged grass verge outside No. 59 New Street Damaged due to cars repeatedly accessing the parking space created in the front garden of no. 59. Google Street View shows it has been used for parking since August 2014, probably earlier. There are loose kerb stones and no dropped kerbs. I understand it is illegal to drive over the footpath so this should not be tolerated. There are also safety considerations as vehicles have to reverse out over the footpath and grass verge into the main road, which is a danger to pedestrians and road users on the busy A44. See February 2025 photo attached. The grass verge needs to be reinstated and protected by a bollard..
