"Unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles" sign

Reported via desktop in the Traffic Signs category anonymously at 12:14, Friday 7 February 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Hello there, this sign has been hit and twisted around, so is not clearly visible. Unfortunately, this resulted in an articulated lorry getting stuck and bogged down by Cuddesdon Mill last week, closing the road for some hours prior to crane removal. It needs resetting in the ground and the sign turning around by 90Deg, so that it can be seen at this junction. Many thanks indeed.

  • Hello again, I appreciate you have only been investigating this bent sign since 7th February, but only thanks to a local parishioner did we not end up with the same issue on 27th February, when another articulated grain lorry was attempting to get to the next parish via this totally unsitable road. Could I please ask you to expedite this now, as the road is single track, with sharp 90Deg bends and over two narrow stone/cast iron humpback bridges. Many thanks indeed.
