Road Closed Signs No Consultation With Village or Businesses

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Rattlecombe Rd has road closed signs and so there is no apparent access to the villages of Shenington and Alkerton from either direction. The health centre, pub, school and villages appear to be inaccessible from both ends of the village. Neither the school bus or Stagecoach bus can access the village. Small vehicles can get through but many people turn around as this is not clear. HGV's cannot access the village from one direction. There are no signs to make this clear or to state that businesses, the health centre and school can all be accessed from the Alkerton end of the village as the sign states this road is also closed. This is causing confusion and chaos. Thames Water did some work last week on one day but have not returned. This is severely affecting businesses, residents and visitors. Please can you find out why the road is closed, how long for and advise the parish council? Please can you insist that the signage is improved so that it is clear that there is access to the village via Alkerton for all vehicles, businesses are open and that cars can access the village via Rattlecombe Road.
