Potholes and flooding
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 21:30, Tuesday 4 February 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This stretch of road is a joke. The road has been destroyed by flooding and is covered in potholes which can’t easily be seen because it is constantly under water. This urgently needs attention. Sort it out and give the road a good clean please.

Thank you for your report. The A417 is inspected monthly and any defects will be raised for repair in line with the councils policy, we are also aware of ongoing issues in the Challow area with regular surface water hampering any longevity of repairs, we are currently working with the adjacent landowners to resolve the drainage issues, once resolved we will be able to programme some more permanent surfacing improvements. We appreciate your vigilance and encourage you to report any future highway concerns.
