Investigating
Huge square pot whole in the middle of the road
Reported via mobile anonymously at 17:22, Tuesday 4 February 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
I hit this pothole in the dark at approximately 19.45 heading towards Thame from Postcombe, causing a very loud bang and it has caused significant damage to my wheel which popped instantly. I pulled over at the first safe place, the turning to copcourt and had to call AA for recovery as N/S/F tyre completely ruined and tracking gone and crack in side of alloy. has been pinched and had immediately expanded out as an egg on the sidewall of the tyre, making it has also damaged the alloy wheel. Having looked at other reports the council have been aware of this pot whole for 4 days and still allowing cars to drive over it in the dark and be hit with huge bills to cover the costs of repairs.
