Water run off from the field stream is pooling in the road before the bridge

There is more water than ever streaming off the opposite field, running down the road and pooling before the bridge over the river. In icy weather this is causing a huge hazzard on the road before the bridge and over the bridge itself. Either the field steam needs diverting or the run-off water needs more clearance to flow quickly into the river, rather than creating an ice rink.

We are pleased to inform you that the Parish or Town of Ascott and Shipton is scheduled for gully emptying in the third quarter of this financial year. While severe weather may cause delays, we are committed to thoroughly cleansing all Highway Surface Water Assets in the area within this timeframe.
