The ditch between 72 Thame rd and 68Thame rd (lady took House) is blocked by ivy, leaves and branches which will cause flooding tomorrow 26th Jan 25! It will be made worse if the pipes at either or both ends are filled with ivy and leaves

Thank you for your report. The primary responsibility for ditch maintenance often lies with the adjacent landowner as a "riparian owner". The council is responsible for roadside drains and gullies on public roads but not usually for the ditches alongside them. Landowners must obtain consent for certain work, check for protected species, and be aware they can be held liable for flooding caused by poor maintenance. . We appreciate your vigilance and encourage you to report any future highway concerns.
