Roundabout signage insufficient

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There have been many occasions when traffic travelling east on A417 have failed to give way to traffic entering the roundabout from Springfield Road turning right (east). Therefore it can be surmised that the traffic and road signage is insufficiently clear to ensure that this junction is safe. I would suggest that additional road safety measures are taken to ensure safety.

  • We have carried out a Road Safety Audit which has identified a number of recommendations to resolve the road safety concerns at this location. These works were required to be implemented by a Developer as part of a planning permission relating to a nearby residential Development and so we will be asking the Developer to complete these works as soon as possible.
