This is a continuous problem whenever it rains. It can take several days to drain away. This flood now conceals a dangerous erosion of the road surface around the gully.

Why has this still not been fixed while many issues in neighbouring street have been resolved? This is a very serious issue especially when there has been heavy rainfall and you are unable to see this

This pothole is getting worse and the metal corners could cause damage to tires now!! Why does this take so long while other potholes in the neighbourhood have been fixed?

This has now become a serious problem! The gully itself is full of debris and totally blocked. During some recent remedial works in the area, the cover was lifted and an operative was able to stand on the debris with no movement. After just a small amount of rain, the water level rises, completely obscuring the pothole underneath. Some of the more immature motorists are driving through it at speed and then they realise it’s not just a puddle. For motorcyclists/cyclists, it’s an accident waiting to happen! In short, the gully needs unblocking, the ironwork needs resetting and the road surface requires a proper repair, not a sticking plaster.

The pothole was repaired this morning and this is how it looked one hour later after the rain. The repair is completely submerged under water from the blocked gully! Standing water was the main cause of the pothole in the first instance so why only do half of the job? The gully is blocked with debris and needs emptying.
