Road flooded and almost impassable, again!!!!

Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:43, Monday 6 January 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Road has flooded yet again, as it does every time it rains. This is due to blocked ditches and poor roadside maintenance. The rainwater can be seen pouring into the carriageway from the adjacent fields owing to the ditches all being full of rubbish, shrubbery and fallen tree bits. This is happening every time it rains, without fail. The road is littered with debris that has been washed off the fields and verges. This need addressing immediately as this road is a lifeline for the majority of people who live in Chinnor, etc.

  • I agree with all that’s been said above. I drove back from Thames yesterday evening and it was horrendous. Luckily no traffic was coming the other way as l needed to drive in the middle of the road. A lot of debris on the road and silt too. This happens every time it rains & it is one of the main roads out of the village.
