Flooded road - danger to life

Reported via mobile in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 05:38, Monday 6 January 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The road due to ridiculous road design when the new housing estate access was put in 15 years ago is completely flooded for a length of about 20+ feet - it is a danger to life and is the only access route by foot for children and old people to the village / school . Someone is going to get trapped in this and when it freezes it will become an even greater hazard of which the council will be 100% liable - this has been reported so many times - when the accident happens the council have no come back at all

Updated by Oxfordshire County Council at 05:39, Monday 6 January 2025

  • 27th Jan - heavy flooding overnight - this is exactly the same as previous reports if you do not have a 4x4 it risks cars becoming stranded - for those approaching from chinnor rather than bledlow - you are completely unaware until you enter the water
