Build up of rain water in street

When there is heavy rain there is a build up of water near the zebra crossing and the nearby primary school. This may be due to blocked drainage gratings/absence of drainage/dam effect of the zebra crossing. This has been a problem for a number of years.

  • Thank you for proactively bringing the drainage issue at Shipton Road to our attention. Your vigilance helps us maintain the quality of our highways. We are pleased to inform you that the Parish or Town of Woodstock and Bladon is scheduled for gully emptying in the first quarter of this financial year. While severe weather may cause delays, we are committed to thoroughly cleansing all Highway Surface Water Assets in the area within this timeframe.
