You are currently carrying out highway works along Springfield Avenue and I would like to bring to your attention the issues around flooding across the public footpath and into our property which occur when it rains heavily and I am hopeful you will address due to the significant issues this presents. You are currently working near the property and I am aware that the person in charge of the onsite team named Vic I believe, called in on the tenant Juliana yesterday, who gave Vic an update to the problems and then later a gentleman named Lloyd from the Council called in on Juliana. I believe Juliana has also shared the photos with Vic and Lloyd. You will see that not only is the flooding when it rains heavily, coming onto the property across the public footpath, but members of the public are having to cross the road to avoid walking through and getting their feet wet! I myself have noted that one of the Curb stones was raised and when you walk on it even when dry, squelches and I am not sure of there is a collapsed drain or something in the area?

  • Hi. So the works to the oublic footpath have been concluded but as you will see from the photo the drainage issue is still a concern and is flooding the public path and needs further assessment
