Think the lights are out of kilter

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Hi Could be wrong but could you check the fasing of these lights as so many people are going over on Amber or red, a major incident could occur! Bad driving…..Yes but this happens on every light change!

Please could you check them??? Thanks

  • It usually happens off-peak, when there are no or only a few cars waiting at each leg & the A415 southbound lights stay on green for far too long after the traffic has cleared. Then someone will exit McDonalds/Tesco, see the green light & make a dash for it. I know first-hand, because they don't stop for pedestrians crossing, either!

    Unfortunately, OCC only visit in the day, when it is quite busy & the problem doesn't often occur then.

    Other than that, the timings have always been tight, but they say they are OK, so good luck getting them changed.

  • Checked on site between 8 - 8.30 pm, no faults in log, no instances of red light running
