Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Pavement damage and a danger to pedestrians caused by heavy goods lorries. The access to the roundabout is not designed wide enough to allow for 2 vehicles to pass each other safely so needs redesigning and a safety barrier for pedestrians erected please.

  • Thank you for raising this issue with us. We have investigated this matter and agree with you that there appears to be some over-running of the verge by vehicles on the western approach to the A388 roundabout, following the completion of the new roundabout works on the A388 near Wantage. These works have been constructed by the Developer, St.Modwen as part of planning requirements relating to the new residential development north of Wantage. We have consequently asked the Developer to investigate and provide a design solution for approval to resolve this.
