300mm wide x 75mm deep pothole

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Pothole is approx 300mm from road side so in path of many vehicles ,size has grown this week and cars using verge/bank to avoid. Location on east bound ( northern side) just as road rises towards Badbury Gravel /verge debris from recent rain masks location

  • Just hit this pothole in the dark, massive bang, waiting for daylight to see what damage has been done to car.

  • This is the 3rd evening in a row I've had to stop and check on someone stranded after hitting the pothole. Tonight a young family had the tyre completely blown and couldn't get the tyre off or car it the way. Incredibly dangerous as near bend where people come down badbury hill wide to avoid bad state of road on that side where poor repairs left it dangerous for smaller cars and vans.

  • 9 Jan 2025 Have passed this today, traffic cone in hole has disappeared so now no option other than hitting elongated hole which is deeper now. This requires a minimum of warning signs and paint around edges as matter of ,defect has remained for far too long. Outwash from hole and verge making the situation worse. This is not a safe place to take a photo so as stated needs attention now.

  • Just hit this pothole in my work van, to dark to get a photo. Looks like a cone was in the hole but been flicked out. This pothole is on Facebook because it’s so large & causing issues & damage. THIS IS URGENT. There is a pothole the other side of the road forcing cars to drive into it if a car is on the other side of the road. Please repair as a matter of urgency

  • This is now a major safety hazard as large and deep potholes on both sides of the road which are a risk to safety of drivers and passengers not just tyres. Needs fixing urgently. Unsafe to stop and take pictures
