Alarming hole has appeared afer severe flooding . By the footbridge down the Dock over the river

A Footways and Pavement damage problem has been found by SU/DJ A dangerous hole on the side of the path by the bridge . A child could fall down it on to the river bank . Once the water level has subsided , swift remedial action is needed, even if it a temporary barrier

  • This public right of way is the main route for many villagers to Middle Barton Primary School, with the Mill Ford being completely impassable. Since the floodwater has receded, another hole (smaller red circle ) is evident, meaning there is only a small strip of tarmac to accommodate 'single file' transit onto the bridge.

  • The edge of the larger hole is collapsing still further, meaning the hole is getting even bigger.
