Give Way sign at John Fulkes Ave, white circle marking

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

There is a marking that has appeared at the base around the Give Way sign. White circle on pavement These symbols often used for criminal activity- cannot get through to the police, is there any reason why this sign has such marked out on pavement. Pls relay to police to link in with other local activity. or is the Council planning works to this sign
