Uneven pavement

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 17:49, Wed 13 November 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

My parents have recently moved to the newly opened Floryn House Care Home, in Yarnton. In common with many of the residents, they require wheelchair & walking frame to get around.

A short 9 minute walk away is the popular Yarnton Home & Garden Centre, which many of the residents enjoy visiting, either with family, friends or staff.

When I have taken my parents there, I have found it extremely dangerous to navigate the short distance. This is because the pavement leading from the newly created Sandycroft Close (OX5 1WF) to the Home & Garden Centre (OX5 1PA) is uneven, with challenging surface and camber.

Additionally, crossing the busy Sandy Lane, without a designated crossing point, to the pedestrian entrance is precarious at best and necessitates the traffic being stopped by another person
