Footpath overgrown on the route from Gosford to Islip
Reported via desktop in the Vegetation & maintenance category anonymously at 17:39, Sun 3 November 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The tarmac path on the south side of bthe road between the Gosford bridge roundabout and the turning for Islip is overgrown and the tarmac surface is also cracked and uneven. This might only be a footpath, but appears to be the only logical route for a cyclist between Islip and Gosford/Kidlington.
Also to that end, since there is now explicitly no cycling on the pavement on the north-western side of Gosford Road, it seems there is no safe way for a cyclist coming north from Gosford to turn across the carriageway at the roundabout onto this path to Islip. Is a cyclist going to Islip means to go around the roundabout on the carriageway across all the traffic between the A34 and the Bicester Road from Gosford?
