Huge potholes and sinking drain on narrow part of A361 going through Wardington village towards Daventry

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Tommy Driscoll at 21:02, Wednesday 16 October 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

There has been various potholes along this section of the road on the left hand side, gradually getting worse. The last couple of days, one of the potholes/drain has collapsed and you are unable to avoid it without going into oncoming traffic. This situation is made worse by the fact that it is raining and the potholes are full of water and invisible in the dark. This evening at around 7:15pm on my way home from work there was a lorry coming on the other side of the road, I was unable to avoid the pothole without going into the lorry and therefore causing an instant flat tyre. (The potholes are in a dangerous part of the road with no pavements around so I am unable to take a photo).

  • The pothole made my wheel buckle, as you can see in the pictures provided. It cost £50 to be repaired, so I would like full compensation.
