Blocked drains on either side of the road have caused the whole road to be flooded .

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Jane Hudson at 16:06, Wednesday 9 October 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The drains have been blocked for several months between the pond and chapel cottages. This has caused the whole road for 15m or so to be flooded making it difficult for standard cars to pass through, even in the middle of the road. This road has been flooded for 3 out of the last 4 weeks and it is time the drains were cleared.

  • This still hasn’t been sorted. It now floods every time it rains. It is ruining our cars having to drive through it every day and delivery drivers don’t want to go through it and have failed to deliver my parcels on numerous occasions. This has been going on for months and there is no sign of anyone fixing it. Why?

  • Still flooded and the road floods every time it rains. Not safe for cars to pass through leaving half the village forced to use the unreliable track (Thorpe road) leave the village.

  • This is a persistent problem. Every time it rains it just keeps topping up the water. After the rain today it is across the pavement as well
