Short drain system inserted in January 2023 to protect homes from flooding.

Mud and other debris is building up substantially in the manholes thereby blocking the pipe through which water is supposed to drain away. This was raised with the council in May and residents were told on 30th May, by a Council member, that this drain would be cleaned out in July but nothing happened. In the Spring as the pipe was blocked and, as we were worried about our homes, we cleaned out the drain ourselves manually. We cannot be expected to keep doing this. This drain needs to be cleaned out at least once annually and, judging by what has happened this year, every six months. Please would the council come and clean out the drain. The map displayed does not show the drain system in questions, The drain system needs to be added to the map.
