Hedge blocking footway

Reported via mobile in the Hedges category anonymously at 18:21, Saturday 5 October 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

This hedge has blocked this footway for months now, it is causing people to walk on the grass verge instead, which has ruined the grass and got very muddy as a result of this.

  • The path way is still blocked. When will action take place to cut it back? What is the agreed period between OCC & Sovereign?

  • 22nd November, no change. Footpath pretty much blocked. Very tricky in the dark on the slippery mud path next to it.

  • 24 November. The path at this point is now impassable by anyone. An adult has to stoop to get along it. Someone in a wheelchair or anyone pushing a pram or pushchair will have no chance. . Almost 48 hours of heavy rain has made the muddy verge hazardous. This was first reported In August. Please make this a priority.

  • This has been like this for months. My husband slipped on the muddy grass at the weekend and ended up in A&E with a severe cut above his eye and had 15 stitches. How.long does it take to sort out the problem with this hedge?
