Road Closure 30/9/24 for 3 Nights
Reported via desktop in the Current Roadworks - live information category by Graeme Rolfe at 17:17, Fri 4 October 2024

The Reading Road at Winterbrook has been closed overnight for three nights this week. I can see where the roadworks have taken place but do not know who was responsible for these works. They have, correctly, cut the repairs into either squares or rectangles and it looks like they have done a reasonable job. However, I cannot see that any of the repairs have been sealed around the edges which means that they will become potholes in the not to distant future. If this is a job that has been done by a utility company then the Highways Department should monitor these repairs to ensure that they meet the required standard. If it was carried out by 'government' highways engineers then it should be properly in the first place, otherwise us tax payers will be paying for the next lot of repairs very soon!!!
