Degraded pavement caused a trip which has led to a broken finger

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 18:57, Tuesday 1 October 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 6 minutes later

The pavements on both sides of the northern end of Chiltern Crescent are so overgrown by grass and so eroded that they are a maze of trip hazards and impassable places. I tripped and fell bringing about a visit to Abingdon Minor Injuries Unit AND subsequently the John Radcliffe Hand and Plastic Injury Clinic. I have broken and bruised bones in my dominant hand which is having a material impact on my ability to work. These pavements in Chiltern Crescent have been dug up several times, but unlike others on the Fir Tree estate have not been resurfaced for at least 27 years. They are becoming impassable.
