The drain outside Kaper Cottage, Moor Lane is completely blocked with grit. The drains further up in Green Lane and High Street are not taking the water as there is a river running down Moor Lane. This continues to be an ongoing problem, made worse when there is heavy rain.

  • Thank you for reporting the flooding caused by blocked gullies. We are aware of the situation and have initiated a reactive gully cleaning to address the blockage, however highway drainage has limited capacity and is design to drain only highway water. We have issue with large amount of field runoffs entering highway from the Barford Road and completely overwhelms highway drainage. Unfortunately we cannot stop that happening.
