Severely blocked highway drain

A drain at the side of the Godstow road is severely blocked and not draining away any surface water. The water is subsequently flooding the road itself and flooding the entrance to St Edwards School boathouse and residents. The rain we’ve had recently has only exacerbated the problem.

  • Thank you for proactively bringing the drainage issue at Godstowe Road to our attention. Your vigilance helps us maintain the quality of our highways. We are pleased to inform you that the Parish or Town of Wolvercote is scheduled for gully emptying in the first quarter of this financial year. While severe weather may cause delays, we are committed to thoroughly cleansing all Highway Surface Water Assets in the area within this timeframe.
