Roadworks not put right - significant drop in road surface level

Some form of trench has been dug along and then diagonally across the road (ignoring the fact that the original paving has not been put back but instead there is a tarmac ‘scar’ through the road surface) but the trench in fill has not been levelled out to that of the surrounding road, leaving around an inch drop and then a sudden ‘ledge’ at the other side of the trench. This is a recommended ’safe’ cycling route and is a significant hazard
