Compromised safety. Excessive delay on traffic light change

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

An unnecessary and excessive delay of 30-45 seconds before lights change for pedestrians after pressing the crossing button. This compromises safety: pedestrians are unsure of how long to wait and instead take a chance crossing during a gap in traffic. Also, pedestrians with heavy shopping from Aldi are forced to stand for an excessive period waiting for the lights to change. This is an excessive delay, there is no purpose for a long 30 second wait. In comparison the pedestrian lights 50m away crossing Dunmore Road wait just 3-4 seconds before change.
